Educational standards for Reflexology school members #

 EDUCATIONAL STANDARDS FOR REFLEXOLOGY SCHOOL MEMBERS #

  • Country:
  • Do you have any agreement/affiliation from a federation/association of Reflexologist, association member of R.i.E.N.?
  • On what basis/criteria is this agreement/affiliation founded? or what educational standards do you fulfill to get this agreement/affiliation?
  • Do you have the responsibility to assess the new reflexologists you educate & teach?
    • If yes, what sort of exams do your students have to pass?
    • If not, does the association, you are affiliated with, assess your students by a federal exam?
  • Is there any control from your association/federation about your ways of assessment of the new professional reflexologists?
  • Do you fulfill the minimum educational standards voted at the R.i.E.N. A.G.M. of Bled in 2004, namely:
    • 300 hours (pauses included excepted lunch one) for foot reflexology education; or 225 hours if you do not count the pauses
      • included 150 hours for teaching foot reflexology only, theory & practice
      • included 100 hours for scientific disciplines, namely anatomy, physiology & pathology
      • included 50 hours or treatments under supervision, the treatments in the final thesis/report may be included in this supervision
    • Is the first aid included in the total of these minimum standards
  • If you do not fulfill these 300 hours not, which standard do you not fulfill yet?the minimum of 300 hours for foot reflexology?
    • the minimum of 150 hours for teaching foot reflexology, theory & practice?
    • the minimum of 100 hours for scientific disciplines?
    • the absence of pathology in these disciplines, which does not enable the student to treat properly specific conditions?
    • the minimum of 50 treatments under supervision?
    • the first aid education?
  • What arrangements are you planning for fulfilling these missing standards, knowing that these ones are a basic requirement to become & stay a school member of R.i.E.N.? and when?
  • How could R.i.E.N. help you to reach this minimum objective?
  • Are you mainly dedicated to teach another form of reflexology (face, ear, hand, etc.)?
    • If yes, is your level of education similar to the level previously defined for foot reflexology? and how?
    • Could you program continue professional development for your students already graduated to improve their basic education if this one does not reach the minimum standards explained above?
    • Are you programming to increase your level of education over the minimum standards explained above? and how?
